Bhagini Nivedita Library Reading Room Facility

Bhagini Nivedita Library have more than 3800 books starting from Vedas to latest monthly magazine like Pratiyogita Darpan, CSR, etc.

With the increasing the demands of the reading room facility for approching various competative examination, Reading Room Facility has been inaugurated on the New Year - 5120. i.e. 18th March 2018, Sunday

The Reading Room is operating now as by the youth & for the youth self-serving model. Opening at morning 8 to  evning 6 o'clock. It’s single writing chair, table-chair and Bharatiya Baithak - ground seating facility.

All the interested Youth are invited to use this facility and nurture future of own and our state & country.

11th September, 1893, a Golden Day in the Indian History when “Swami Vivekananda” gave the historical speech in Chicago for “Universal Brotherhood”. This day is celebrated as “UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY” all over the world. Vivekananda Kendra celebrates this day in all its branches. In Shimla, on this occasion Vivekananda Kendra is organizing “Arise! Awake!! Declamation Competition” for School Children of Shimla. The details as below.

1. “Arise! Awake!! Declamation Competition” will be in 2 groups.Group-1 : 8 to 10 Standard Group-2 : 11 & 12 Standard

2. From each Participant School, 1 + 1 (total 2) students can participate (ie one participant from one group only). There is no fee for participation. 

3. Student has to present his/her subject from respective group in 5 min in either Hindi or English without reading the paper.

एम् आई रूम समरहिल (शिमला) में योग शिविर

आर्मी ट्रेनिंग कमांड शिमला तथा विवेकानंद केन्द्र कन्याकुमारी, शाखा शिमला द्वारा एम् आई रूम समरहिल (शिमला) में एक अनिवसीय  योग शिविर का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। यह शिविर 08-05-2017 से 14-05-2017 तक प्रातः 5.30 से 6.30 तक लगाया जा रहा है।इस शिविर में योग सम्बंधित निम्न विषयों पर विशेष बल दिया जा रहा है; 

1. शिथलिकरण विधी  (Relaxation Techinc) 
2. सूर्यनमस्कार
3. आसन
4. प्राणायाम
5. योग की अवधारणा
इस शिविर में लगभग 40 लोग भाग ले रहे हैं।

रचानात्मक नेतृत्व विकास कार्यशाला : सफल युवा - युवा भारत

विवेकानन्द केन्द्र के द्वारा रचनात्म नेतृत्व कार्यशाला का आयोजन संस्कृत महाविद्यालय फागलि में १ मेई,शुक्रवार २०१५ हुआ। लक्ष्य की स्पष्टता सफल होने के लिये आवश्यक है और चुनौंतियाँ सुअवसर है, यह बात श्री हार्दिकजीने रचानात्मक नेतृत्व विकास कार्यशाला - सफल युवा युवा भारत के दौरान संस्कृत महाविद्यालय फागलि में बताया। विवेकान्द केन्द्र शिमला शाखा के द्वारा युवाओ के लिये विविध कार्यक्रम एवं कार्यशाला विद्यालय एवं महाविद्यालय के छात्रों के लिये कर रहा है। कार्यक्रम की शरुअत प्रणव मंत्र एवं एक्यमंत्र से हुई। मनुष्यों को सफलता के लिये कई प्रकार की बाधायें दिखती हैं जैसे कि - चुनौतियों की आशंका से भयभित, जीवन कि प्राथमिकतायें तय नहि कर पाना, विभ्भिन मतों से विचलित हो जाना।

ये सभी चुनौतियों का सामाना कैसे करें और अपनी अतर्निहित शक्ति को कैसे उजागर करें, इसको विवेकानन्द शिला स्मारक की कहानी के माध्यम से समझाया। प्राचार्य डा निरा शर्माजी ने विद्यार्थियों को इस प्रकार की व्यक्तित्व विकास एवं सेवा गतिविधियों में हिस्सा लेने का अनुरोध किया। कार्यक्रम के अन्त में श्री रणजीतजी - संस्कृत महाविद्यालय फागलि के आचार्य ने धन्यवाद प्रस्ताव दिया।

Report of Celebration of Universal Brotherhood Day

Arise! Awake!! Declamation Competition held successfully at S.D.High School, Ganj Bazar  on 8th September 2012 and the prize distribution ceremony held at Vivekananda Kendra, Nabha Estate, 9th September 2012 in presences of heavy rain.

Bhuvneshwar Sharma of Dayanand Arsh Vidyalaya, Tutu stood First, followed by Kirti Khanna of Dayanand Arsh Vidyalaya, New Shimla as Second & Yoginder Rawat of Rashtriya VIdya Kendra secure the Third position in Junior Group. While in Senior Group Manisha of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jatog stood First, followed by Himanshu Sharma of  Dayanand Arsh Vidyalaya, New Shimla as Second & Hemlata of Sanathan Dharma Senior Secondary School secure Third position.

Shri Madan Sinh Rana,  Prof. RajeshKumar Sharma, Prof. GaneshDutt Sharma, Prof. MafatLal and Dr. Surendra Sharma gave their volunteer services as judges in the Arise! Awake!! Declamation Competition.

The prize distribution by Shri M. M. Grover in chair of Shri Nandlal Verma, Sanyojak of Vivekananda Kendra Shimla Branch. Shri AashutoshJi Agrawal, SahSanyojak of Vivekananda Kendra Shimla Branch focus on the  Swami Vivekananda work for Universal Brotherhood. And how he conquered the world with his majestic speech with logic in First World Parliament of Religion at Chicago, USA in 1893.

All the participants were given complimentary prize.

Guru Purnima Celebration

Vivekananda kendra Shimla branch has celebrated  'Guru Purnima' (गुरु पुर्णिमा) utsav on Aashadi Purnima, Yugabdh 5114 (अषाढ पुर्णिमा, युगाब्द ५११४) on 3rd July 2012. On this occasion Havan Pooja is organised in kendra karyalay. The Havan started in morning 6 O'clock to 7:30am. Nagar Samiti and other karyakartas of kendra joined the havan pooja. And after the worship prasad is distributed among the people. In this havan given special Ahuti to Varundev for good rain along with Gayatri mantra and Maha Mutrumjay Mantra.

On this occasion respected Rekha Davey, Join General Secretary of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari present over here, and the havan pooja is completed in her presence. At the last all the people have shared their views on Guru Purnima's relevance.
