Vivekananda Kendra Shimla Branch celebrated auspicious "Guru Purnima" at Govt. Degree College, Sanjauli, Shimla which is famously known as "Center of Excellance" in education field in Himachal Pradesh. The program was started at 11:30 with Prayer in Samskrit by Shri Govind in presence of 300 young students on Saturday, 12 July 2014.
Prof. Omkarji Saraswat, Professor of Himachal Pradesh University has given the insight of Guru-Shishya Parampara of our culture with Swami Vivekananda's quotations. Smt. Kalpanaji, a Jeevalvrati of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari gave brief detail about how we can save our culture by doing action through work with Vivekananda Kendra. Principal Dr. J.S.Negi remarks that he wants Vivekananda Kendra's Shimla Branch to regularly conduct program in the college and inculcate the human values in the young, the future generation of India, as Swami Vivekananda envisaged.
The program was concluded with Santi-path. A professior remark that he was happy to see the entire program in Samskrit and all youth was so silence & concerntrated in the 1.5hrs program, he see such thing first time in his 30yrs of career. The book-stall containing Indian Culture, Swami Vivekananda - Shri Ramkrishna Sahitya was specially arrange in College during the GuruPurnima celebration.
